About Us

Who I am

I have been a professional writer since 1977. I've had the pleasure of working at my first full-time newspaper job as a college student. After a stint in radio as a copywriter, I moved to Nashville. There I worked in the music industry, as a stock car racing photographer and reporter, and as a city publicist. I returned to the newspaper business in 2011, when I went to work in Spring Hill. After four years, I retired and began working as a freelance journalist. I have worked at newspapers in Columbia, Spring Hill, Franklin and Lebanon.

What I'm doing now

SInce I left the formal newspaper business to work on my own as a freelancer, I

have created a website, under Angie Mayes, and I will be posting stories and video links from this site and my YouTube channel to Facebook and Twitter
